Happy Slice of Life!
It’s March, which means it’s my favorite time of year. Earlier this week I introduced the Slice of Life Challenge to my 9th graders, and the reaction was very positive this year. I’ve been doing the challenge with my students for almost a decade? Maybe over a decade? It always turns to out to be their favorite assignment, so I am looking forward to seeing how they grow as writers and students this March.
Luckily for my students, March has no breaks or vacations this year, so they should have an easier time than some previous classes!
Of course, this means March is the longest month of the year because the stretch between President’s Day weekend and spring break feels neverending. (At least it does for teachers!)
