Slice of Life #4

While it was much colder (and windier) today than I expected, there are signs of spring everywhere! The snow is almost all melted and there was no ice this morning. The trees have a few buds and the spring birds are back. I even spotted the elusive red-breasted nuthatch as it visited my feeder today!

In the backyard the daffodils and crocuses are peeking out of the dirt. It’s colder than it was at this time last year, but the spring plants don’t seem to care. Soon enough the yellow and white daffodils will pop open and the purple crocuses will wave in the breeze.

Meteorological spring isn’t for a few more weeks, but it’s within sight!
