Breaking Dawn Quote of the Day

Those of you like me, who are anxiously awaiting the the release of BREAKING DAWN, should be sure to check out Stephenie Meyer’s website. She is posting a quote from the book each day leading up to the release. She also did this with ECLIPSE and it’s a ton of fun to try and predict how the quotes are related to the book.

Quote of the Day

My favorite?

Renee: “Alice wouldn’t let us do anything else. Every time we tried, she all but ripped our throats out.”

This means Renee knows!  At least, I think it means that she knows Bella and Edward are a bit different…..

So what do you think?  What is your favorite quote?

  1. Have you heard of tea party to use in the classroom? It seems like Meyer is using the same concept and that it goes to show how it is fun even for adults. In case you hadn’t heard of it before, it is a way to activate students’ prior knowledge or to build knowledge. You take different quotes from the text you are going to read. The students each get a quote, then they mingle around the room talking about their quotes. Students can predict what they think it will be about based on their quotes. It is a lot of fun and works great.

  2. Mrs. V-
I hadn’t heard of that, but I love it! I may have to try that this year. The excitement building around the BREAKING DAWN quotes is palpable, and kids of all ages are enjoying the fun of making some predictions. It would be a lot of fun in the classroom!

  3. Edward: oops
I dont know why, but that just seems to be my favorite. See, In the last three books, Edward just does not mess up! I find it interesting, and I think it might have something to do with Bella becoming a vampire…I don’t know, thats just my thoughts!

  4. I think it had nothing to do with knowing.. i think it’s bout the wedding.. saying Alice was not having anything but the big soiree.. it’s a figure of speech.

that’s just my two cents tho.

  5. My favorite is Charlie: “Bells, we’re up to bat.” because i think it is cool that we no that they are gonna walk down the asile.
