I got my approval today to attend BEA on Wednesday! I know there is a Kidlit drink night that night, and I plan to stop by, but who else will be around during the day? What is a “can’t miss”? I haven’t even looked at the schedule yet…..

Have a great time at BEA–and that’s about the only conference i WON’T be attending this year ..but if you come to IRA, NCTE or to ALA, please let me know!
I’m anxious to read your “monarch” notes ..you’ve inspired me to try and find some Milkweed to plant and l’m telling others about that, too–thanks for the education and inspiration.
Lastly, I loved your thoughts on how to help kids to understand writing for an audience by using the elderly relative example–how cool is THAT!? Again, I will use and share . . .

Oh no, Jen! I won’t be at ALA, as it coincides with my last days of school (and my final weeks of wedding planning). Hopefully our paths will cross soon.
